How do I place an order on Ecosthi?

Placing an order is simple! Browse our curated eco-friendly products, add your favourites to the bag, and proceed to checkout. You can pay via UPI, Net Banking, Credit/Debit Cards, or Wallets through our secure Razorpay gateway.

You'll receive an order confirmation email immediately after payment.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major payment methods including:

  • UPI (GPay, PhonePe, Paytm, BHIM)
  • Credit & Debit Cards (Visa, Mastercard, RuPay)
  • Net Banking (all major Indian banks)
  • Wallets (Paytm, Amazon Pay)
  • EMI on select cards

All transactions are encrypted and processed securely via Razorpay.

Can I modify or cancel my order after placing it?

You can modify or cancel your order within 2 hours of placing it, as long as it hasn't been dispatched by the vendor.

To cancel, go to My Account β†’ My Orders β†’ Cancel Order, or email us at hello@ecosthi.com with your order ID.

⚠️ Once an order is dispatched, cancellation is not possible. You may initiate a return after delivery instead.
How do I apply a coupon or promo code?

During checkout, you'll find a "Apply Coupon" field on the Order Summary page. Enter your promo code there and click Apply. The discount will be reflected before you proceed to payment.

New customers can use ECO20 for 20% off their first order!

Is there a minimum order value?

There's no minimum order value β€” you can order even a single product. However, free delivery is available on orders above β‚Ή499. Orders below β‚Ή499 attract a standard delivery fee of β‚Ή49.

Do you offer Cash on Delivery (COD)?

Currently, Cash on Delivery is available on select pin codes and for orders below β‚Ή2,000. COD availability is shown at the checkout stage based on your delivery address.

Delivery timelines depend on your location and the vendor:

  • Metro cities (Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, etc.): 3–5 business days
  • Tier-2 cities: 5–7 business days
  • Remote areas: 7–10 business days

Is Ecosthi's packaging really plastic-free?

Yes! Every order shipped by Ecosthi uses 100% plastic-free packaging. We use recycled cardboard boxes, kraft paper fillers, paper tape, and compostable mailers.

If you receive a product in non-eco packaging from a vendor, please report it to us at hello@ecosthi.com β€” this is a violation of our vendor standards and we'll investigate immediately.

Do you ship across all of India?

Yes, we ship to all states and union territories across India. Just enter your pin code at checkout to confirm delivery availability for your specific address.

How can I track my order?

Once your order is dispatched, you'll receive a tracking link via email and SMS. You can also track your order anytime from My Account β†’ My Orders β†’ Track Order, or by visiting our Track Order page.

Is delivery carbon-neutral?

Absolutely! Ecosthi offsets 100% of the carbon emissions from every delivery through partnerships with verified reforestation projects. Every shipment you receive plants trees and supports cleaner air.

What is your return policy?

We offer a 7-day hassle-free return policy from the date of delivery. Products must be unused, in original packaging, and accompanied by the invoice.

  • Initiate a return from My Account β†’ My Orders β†’ Return Item
  • Our team will schedule a pickup from your address
  • Refund is processed within 5–7 business days of receiving the return
⚠️ Certain products (perishables, personal care opened items, custom orders) are not eligible for return. Check the product page for details.
How long do refunds take?

Once we receive the returned item and verify its condition, refunds are processed within 5–7 business days. The time taken to reflect in your account depends on your bank or payment provider:

  • UPI: 1–3 business days
  • Credit/Debit Card: 5–7 business days
  • Net Banking/Wallet: 3–5 business days
What if I received a damaged or wrong product?

We're so sorry! Please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with your order ID and photos of the damaged/wrong product at hello@ecosthi.com.

We'll arrange a free pickup and send you a replacement or full refund β€” whichever you prefer β€” at no extra cost.

Can I exchange a product instead of returning it?

Yes, direct exchange is available for clothing and fashion items (size/colour changes) within 7 days of delivery. For other categories, we recommend initiating a return and placing a fresh order for the desired product.

How does Ecosthi verify that brands are truly sustainable?

Every brand applying to sell on Ecosthi goes through our rigorous 18-point sustainability audit conducted by our in-house environmental scientists. We evaluate:

  • Raw material sourcing and certifications
  • Manufacturing process and energy usage
  • Labour and fair wage practices
  • Packaging and end-of-life disposal
  • Third-party certifications (FSC, GOTS, Ecocert, etc.)

Brands are re-audited annually. We maintain zero tolerance for greenwashing.

What certifications do you look for in products?

Depending on the product category, we look for certifications such as:

  • GOTS – Global Organic Textile Standard (for fabrics)
  • FSC – Forest Stewardship Council (for wood/paper/bamboo)
  • Ecocert / COSMOS – Organic & natural cosmetics
  • GreenGuard – Low chemical emission home products
  • PETA Vegan / Cruelty-Free – Personal care & beauty

What does "greenwashing" mean and how do you prevent it?

Greenwashing is when a brand misleadingly claims to be eco-friendly without genuine sustainable practices β€” for example, using the word "natural" on a product full of synthetic chemicals.

We prevent it by requiring verifiable documentation and third-party certifications for every claim. Our auditors make physical or virtual visits to manufacturing facilities where necessary. Any brand found misrepresenting itself is immediately removed from our platform.

Can I report a product or brand that seems misleading?

Please do! Our community is our biggest watchdog. If you suspect a product or brand isn't living up to its sustainability claims, email us at hello@ecosthi.com with details.

Every report is investigated by our sustainability team within 72 hours.

How do I create or manage my Ecosthi account?

You can sign up using your email address or Google account. Once registered, your account dashboard lets you manage orders, wishlist, saved addresses, and sustainability impact stats.

To edit your profile, go to My Account β†’ Profile Settings.

I forgot my password. How do I reset it?

On the login page, click "Forgot Password?" and enter your registered email address. You'll receive a password reset link within a few minutes. Check your spam folder if it doesn't arrive.

How do I delete my account?

We're sad to see you go! To delete your account, email us at hello@ecosthi.com with the subject line "Account Deletion Request" from your registered email. We'll process it within 7 business days.

We'd love to hear from sustainable brands! Visit our Sell on Ecosthi page and fill out the vendor application form. Our team will review your submission and reach out within 5–7 business days.

All applicants go through our 18-point sustainability audit before onboarding.

What kind of brands does Ecosthi accept?

We welcome brands across all categories β€” home, personal care, fashion, food, pets, kids, and more β€” as long as they meet our sustainability standards. Both large brands and small artisan businesses are welcome.

Key requirements: eco-friendly materials, ethical labour practices, and plastic-free or minimal packaging.

What are the fees for selling on Ecosthi?

Ecosthi charges a commission on each sale, which varies by product category (typically 8–15%). There's no upfront listing fee or monthly subscription for verified vendors.
